  Adventurer Polar Bear Tours

This is the lowest cost polar bear observation tour, with two days on the tundra in the safety of the tundra buggy on the tundra near the south west shore of Hudson Bay.  Our knowledgeable Tundra Buggy driver tells you about the bears and their activities. No accommodation in Winnipeg is included, but we can arrange this for you. We aim to fill most of the 38 seats on the Tundra Buggy in order to keep the price low, so there is less space available so you need to be well organised with your gear.

With full vehicles it is not always possible to position yourself to allow the best angles for photographs. Please be prepared to wait your turn on the viewing deck.


Overnight in the Tundra Buggy Lodge
By staying on the tundra overnight you have more time for viewing the bears and also a better chance to see the northern lights (aurora borealis). You stay on the tundra overnight in the warmth of an immobilised train of tundra vehicles, permanently positioned in one of the best places for viewing the bears.  All meals are provided while at the Tundra Buggy Lodge. The cabins are all singles and there are shared bathrooms (due to conservation measures there are limited facilities of 4 toilets / 2 showers to 35 people). There is a large common room and a dinning room. We provide a roving Tundra Vehicle for use during the day in case we need to seek out the bears. 

The option of rail travel is available on all the above for an extra cost. Unless you are booking an Enthusiast Tour option 3 the only way to get a cabin on the train is too book your main package in December or early January - otherwise it is likely all the cabins on the train will be fully booked.
