African Safaris

East Africa still attracts a great number of two legged animals, with a traditional wildlife safari to famous parks such as the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. We offer traditional 4WD camping safaris (budget to luxury), or with lodges for overnight stays and also walking safaris with a Massai guide, trekking in the highlands of the Ngorongoro area or near the Massai Mara just inside Kenya.

South Africa with Kruger NP being the oldest national park in Africa is revitalised and is now very popular with its race problems more or less a thing of the past. Swaziland and Zululand provide very interesting cultural hotspots.

By working with local people we ensure more of the money you pay for your holiday stays in the local economy. Also some of the profits from your safari will go towards projects for the Maasai in Tanzania and Kenya or the Himba in Namibia. This will help to ensure that the local people can sustain their livelihood, traditional ways and culture, as well as give you a great holiday playground.

The two sections are available as two seperate safaris, so if you do not have the full 24 days to spare, you could do either part now and the rest next year.

10 Day Namibia Explorer
This overland tour covers the main areas of interest in Namibia as well as animal viewing at the famous Etosha National Park.

Etosha is the main tourist draw in Namibia, ahead of the Namib Desert. At 22,270 km' it is one of the largest parks in Africa, and certainly one of the best-known. Etosha has three camps - Okaukuejo, favoured for its floodlit water hole frequented by "specials" such as elephant, giraffe, black rhino and lion; Namutoni, characterised by the historic fort around which it is centred; and Halali, conveniently situated halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni.

The highlights of this safari is the chance to travel in the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Chobe River areas of Botswana followed by 2 nights at Victoria Falls. After staring in amazement at the falls, we then travel to Kiambi Camp on the banks of the Zambezi River, before canoeing downstream with the gentle current. The final section is inside South Luangwa National Park.
